Misa Taking Chances

Hey all! Yeah yeah I know, I'm the worst blogger ever. This is also the last of my saved up swatches, so who knows when my next post will happen! I have been painting my nails and have actually done some really cute manis, however they unfortunately went undocumented.

This is a polish I picked up about a month ago on an impromptu Winners trip. I'm not sure what collection it's from, but I liked the goldy colour!

I can't remember if this is three coats or more, I'm sorry! Anyway short post but just something to get the cobwebs cleared out, hopefully I'll be able to post more!

February Untrieds- China Glaze Bare if You Dare

Hey! So for today's untried I have an older China Glaze polish. I don't know when it's from, I picked it up in a clearance bin from a random salon. At first I was a little afraid I wouldn't like this colour because it looks almost frosty, but I ended up being  happy with it!

Three coats, formula was fine. There was a little bit of VNL left but I was coolwith it.

As you can see it's an orange with an almost frosty shimmer. Or is that pearl? I'm not sure, but I like it! I think it will be a great summer colour with a tan!

Don't forget to check out Amanda and Amanda for their untrieds!

Butterscotch Glitter Clouds

Hey everyone! For this mani I decided to try out the cloud design. I've seen it lots before and think it's super cute. Unfortunately I don't think the colours I chose were the best because it's hard to tell them apart, but I still think it was an interesting look. For this one I started with China Glaze Desert Sun, an interesting burnt orange/caramel colour. I'm not 100% convinced about this colour on my skintone, I think it's a little into lobster hands territory on me. BUT it also looks like I have Werther's caramels on my nails. Mmmmmmm *Homer Simpson drool*. So then I did the clouds first with I Herd That, a glitter that closely corresponds with Desert Sun. I added another cloud over the first with I'm Not Lion, a lighter glitter from the same collection. Overall it's really hard to see the distinction in the two glitters, but you can tell there's a difference so that's good for me!

Overall I think it was a cool variation on glitter tip manicures and next time I want to try out the design with some pastels or brights! Anywway that's all for me today, hope you enjoyed!

Jessica Pumpkin Delight

Hello! I hope you're all doing well today! Today I have a polish from a new to me brand, Jessica. I don't see it on that many blogs, and I don't see it in stores around me. It pops up on occasion at Winners though, and that's where I got this beauty! It's from the fall collection called Spicy Dreams, and it's a gorgeous multicoloured foil polish. I had seen it on Scrangie and wanted it, and it just wandered into my life!

The colour on this one is hard to explain, it has orangey and gold flecks and the flecks also give it a duochrome look on the nail. It is so so sparkly in real life too, it's amazing. This colour is like fall in a bottle to me! I don't normally care much for warm colours but this one is fantastic and if you can find it, I recommend it. I'm also going back tomorrow for Cinnamon Kiss, a deep vampy red colour from the same collection.

What do you think of this foil shimmer? I really think I like foil as a finish!

I'm Back! With Some OPI Swatches

Hey everyone, so it's been just over a month since I last posted... Wow. Definitely didn't mean for it to be that long, things definitely haven't been going as planned. The reasons for my disappearance are long and boring (to anyone who isn't me, haha!) If you're curious, feel free to ask, otherwise, on with the polish!
So you may know that my No-Buy July was definitely not a success, and not something I will EVER do again. It was painful. It was torturous. It backfired terribly and I hauled like MAD in August. And the next few posts will bear witness to that! My stash of OPI multiplied like crrrraazy because I found this awesome lot sale on kijiji (Canadian Craiglist) of like, 15 polishes for $50. Mad As a Hatter was in there so I definitely had to get it! Then a week or two later, OPI was on sale at Beyond the Rack and I had a credit so I picked up maybe 7 more. Yuuuup, I have a problem. Most of the colours you've more than likely seen before, but I had never worn them so I felt the need to swatch. Bear with me ;)

Side note- I wasn't sure if it was "bear" or "bare" with me, a quick Google search informed me that if I used "Bare" with me, I'd be inviting you to undress.... SO yeah. Bear it is! Pictures after the jump!

Claire's Mini Neon- Orange

Happy Saturday everyone! I've spent the day doing absolutely nothing, I worked a split shift yesterday and picked up a shift waitressing at a nightclub last night so I needed to recover! I didn't get home until almost 4 am and I was so tired I crawled into bed with my clothes on haha. Later on my boyfriend and I are going for dinner with another couple, but that's about all the excitement we have planned.
Now that it's summer, neons are super big right now. They're not usually my speed, but I picked up a set of 5 neon mini polishes from Claire's ages ago and thought what the heck. I went with the orange today because I haven't used it before. I used a coat of white underneath to amp up the color, and it's definitely bright! Formula wise, I did find it to be kind of streaky and patchy. Thicker coats helped but I still needed 4, and maybe it would have looked better with 5. It also dried matte, so I used topcoat to shine it up. The color is definitely BRIGHT though, my camera couldn't get it right! Pictures kept making it look yellowish, it's very very orange in real life.
Haha that is all written from Saturday, I didn't get around to putting pictures up till today.
